I Summon Blue Eyes White Dragon!!! Wait..

Jengjet!!

Few days ago i got myself the beta key for Blizzard's newest Online Game, Hearthstone. I actually quite surprised that i got the beta key, remembering that i have little to zero luck to get the key for the game that i actually wanted to play. ._.

Yes yes, i'm looking at you, MHO.

So basically it's a warcraft universe themed card game based on a board game on Blizzard's most famous MMO, World of Warcraft. I myself have played bunch of trading card games up till now, but most of it (excluding the popular one with solid gameplay like Magic: The Gathering, YuGiOh and Pokemon: TCG) never seems to please me. So i'm kinda looking forward to what this game could over.

So after registering a Battlenet ID and downloading the game client (about 2gb, kinda huge for a card game i guess), i'm now logged into the game.

You first started with 5 tutorial stages, which explains about the gameplay. Basically, it's a battle between 2 heroes, whoever get 0 life point first, lose. You could use creature cards to attack the enemy, or shock them with variety of magic cards.

In-game Battle.
You choose one from 9 heroes (all unlockable after you beat them in the training), each with it's very own ability, supporting cards, and gameplay.

For example, we have the mage.

Bewbies!!

Mage's gameplay center's around casting spellcards that have a huge burst damage on opponent. Mage's default ability is fireball (i still don't know if we could change or upgrade this ability :|), which give damage to the opponent's hero.

Cards an abilities on this game cost Mana to be used, which regenerated overtime. You could hold 10 mana at maximum (max mana also regenerated each turns, up to 10, just as i've said before).

I've actually just played about 20 games or so (against ai and human opponent c:) but i think the gameplay is quite solid, it got fast-paced gameplay and easy to learn even for those who are unfriendly with card games before, definitely worth to wait for it's beta opening.

If you're interested (and if you're feeling lucky lol) you could apply for the beta here :  http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/

Or if you already got your beta key, you could add my bnet id if you want to c: : iFireflies

Just send me message ingame and we could play some games. See you later!
